THIS DIRECTIONAL FISH FEEDER SETS A NEW STANDARD FOR THE DIRECTIONAL FEEDER INDUSTRY! It was introduced in 2005 and then made even better in 2006. We increased the power for added distance of throw and widened the range of fish pellet sizes it will handle. We also increased the output of the optional solar panel to handle the heaviest feeding schedule.

I also have two different well known directional fish feeders in my scrap pile because I could not keep them running. This feeder stands apart from all the others.

Texas Hunter’s directional fish feeder was carefully engineered and designed TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH MANY OF THE PRODUCTS NOW ON THE MARKET. Utilizing a high velocity air stream to project feed pellets into the water, this high efficiency machine delivers a wedge-shaped feed pattern 45 feet in length by 20 feet in width. Almost no food lands within 5 feet of the feeder. See "Additional Images" above for a schematic drawing of this design.

The EZ Set Digital Timer - backed by a 5-Year Limited Warranty - controls a specially engineered dual motor system. A metered flow of feed is introduced into a centrifugal air blower assembly, eliminating the need for those old problematic solenoids, easily bent linkage rods, and sticky shut-off gates. The timer and the battery mount on the door so they swing out for easy access (see photo to left)

Two built-in sight gauges make it easy to check the feed level from practically any direction, while large welded footpads and individual height-adjustable legs make anchoring and leveling the feeder on sloping pond banks a snap. Straight dock legs with feet for bolting directly to your dock are also available at the same price, your choice.

The optional SP2W solar charger (highly recommended) mounts on any side of the feeder to maximize the exposure to the sun, while tough, steel, flexible conduit protects the wires from the weather and varmints.

One of the nicest, most wonderful, fantastic, terrific features of this feeder is the easy access to the motors and feed channel inside the feeder (see photo to left). Plugging can be a major problem on some directional feeders, and if you ever drop a bag string in one, look out! The DF125, on the other hand, has six screws (no tools needed) securing a side panel that lets you see the entire feed channel and both motor impellors through a clear lexan cover. If you ever do have a plug, which is unlikely with this design, 4 screws will remove the cover and let you clear it. Compared to either of the directionals on my trash pile this is a major break through. This single feature, to me personally, after fighting competitive products on my ponds before this feeder was available, is worth several hundred dollars over and above the cost of any competitive feeder on the market - life is way to short to have to put up with a crappy, hard to work on directional feeder.  This feeder is not the most expensive directional feeder on the market, but it should be! It is worth it!

This feeder also doubles up as an excellent deer or game feeder, especially considering that you can fill it from ground level. It is very effective on ranch senderos or narrow roads or openings in thick cover because it keeps more of the feed in the opening and out of the cover where you can't see approaching animals.
